Brian May Signature

Posted by Brian Davidson on 2002-01-06
Construction: Chambered bound mahogany body with a set in mahogany neck. 24 frets on a fully accessible neck. (There is also a zero fret for added punch on open strings)There is a wilkinson tremolo and locking grover tuners which do a great job at keeping the instrument in tune, even after some crazy whammy bar moves. Electronics: Three single-coil pickups (Burns designed the original pickups on Brians old Red Special) with a master volume and tone, and on/off and phase switches for each pickup. Sound: Incredibly versatile. Wonderful sustain overall with the ability to go from a bright clean sound to a warm full jazzy tone. If you want to hear is compared to the original guitar go to www.burnsusa.com. Other info: Purchasing info etc. can be found at www.burnsusa.com. You should check these guitars out regardless of whether you are a queen fan or not.

Reliability: 9
Sound: 10
Bang for the Buck: 10
Overall Rating: 10
