what sounds good. I saked the same Q and the answer was an a major progression 1 4 5 amaj the 4th the 5th but an a minor pentatonis was played over it and it sounded cool but they are two different keys, they do share a tonal center with A so it sounds good. in your Question you said what MUST be played relax study but have fun remember....fun if it sounds good to you..lame songs in the bands eyes have been hits to the fans.... good luck

A CHORD PROGRESSION IS JUST MOVING FROM ONE CHORD TO ANOTHER. LISTEN TO LOTS OF BLACK SABBATH AND LEARN THEIR CHORD PROGRESSIONS. LISTEN TO HOW THE CHORDS GO WITH THE SCALES/SOLOS... THIS IS HOW I LEARNED...JAM WITH THE ALBUM. START WITH THE "PARANOID" ALBUM BY BLACK SABBATH. YOU WILL GET RESULTS. LATER.
