I can't seem to get my fingers to fit all on the 2nd fret like in the A Major. Do you have any suggestions?

Try using fingers #2, 3 and 4 (#1 being your index). Put finger #2 close to the 2nd fret on the 4th string. Finger #3 goes directly between frets #1 and 2 on the 3rd string. Put finger #4 (your pinky) close to the 2nd fret on the 2nd sting.

SQUEEZE!!! you can use finger variations like they said, or you just get used to scrunching your fingers together tightly.

Use only your middle finger and bar all of the strings.
