Question

Asked by BOB on 2000-08-07
ive been playing for a little over two years and now am progressing faster than the guy who got me started and I need some help. I need to get info on "playing in key" and what notes can be strung together as far as basic solos,.....for now. ANY info would be helpful. My main influence is Kirk Hammett of Metallica.

Bob, I was having the same problem. I picked up a book call Scales Over Chords which was released by Praxis Music Publications, Inc. It's put me in touch with the relationship between the two. The program focus in this one is clean improvision, meaning that it hopes to give you an ability to solo to a song the first time you hear it without hitting bad notes. Hope this helps

HI , BOB KIRK IS "THE BEST" , BUT LOOK HIS FACE WHEN HE PLAY, HE REALLY ENJOY IT. NOW, YOU CAN PLAY A SOLO IN THIS "HOME FORM" IF YOU TRY THE ------0------- THIS NOTE IS IN THE ------12---------IN THE SOLO. THIS IS A BASIC SCALE ,THEN YOU CAN ADD 2 OR THREE NOTES ,AND CONTINUE WHIT THE NEXT ONE. I HOPE YOU WILL LIKE "THE ONE " KIRK
