Question

Asked by Frank Huang on 2000-09-26
This question is not really related to tuning, but it's closer than any of the other topics. My e (highest) string popped and i replaced it, but now whenever i play the e string, it makes a weird noise ( like a buzzing sound ). Is there something wrong?

If you got that buzzing sound(usually from the biggest string)it's because the string is touchig the frets close to the nut(fret 0).

That buzzing is comming from between your ears, inside your empty noggin. You got bats in the belfrey ol boy. Keep a buzzin...

Check your string placer A.K.A. Fret 0. You may have pushed the string down too far. Ive done it before too. Its east to fix
