Question

Asked by Drew Charnock on 2000-10-27
Can you give some exercises for tapping? Some exercises high and low on the fret board would be useful? Does tapping always use major and minor triads or are there other ways to tap out notes?

Hey Drew ol boy. Got a good exercise for you on tapping. Take a ballpeen hammer. At least a 2 pounder. Now use this to tap on your gord. Dont hold back but have some enthusiasm and crack er real good to be beat of the music, not beat of your meat like I know you are doing. Do this tapping for about six hours a day at 120 beats per minute. You soon will get the hang of it. Good luck Drew and happy tappy tapping. Thank you in advance.
