Shoul you memorize all kinds of scales ? -- Hell no, dont memorize any, you would be wasting your time. Is it possible to memorize ? -- Only if you have half of a mind. Do famous guitarists know everything ? -- Oh yea ! Most of them are brain surgeons and rocket scientists like Jethro Bodine ! How many are appropriate for me to memorize ? -- In your case NONE Thank you for your attention.

Jeff Hanneman (SLAYER) knows every single scale known to man, this has made him the best soloist in history (apart from Hendrix) learn the major scales, they are the easiest to pull off fast.

Hi, You only need to learn a few scale patterns, then you simply move them around to play in different keys.
