Question

Asked by brandon on 2000-04-27
I like how you explain your lessons, I know pretty much all the basics I would really like to know how to "tap". None of my friends seem to know how to do it and I was wondering if you could give me some pointers. If you don't know what im talking about, then I'm talking about what eddie does in "Eruption". Thanks dude, Brandon

this is the very basics- tapping has to do with the use of both hands working together performing hammer ons and pull offs.start slow then in time with practice speed will follow

Tapping is not as difficult as it may sound. Right hand tapping involves using a finger or fingers on your right to hammer a note at a higher fret and then pulling-off to a note at a lower fret. Two hand tapping is similar. It involves using fingers from both hands to hammer on notes. There a few different tapping paterns. I will not go into those.
