Simple question. Which cords are the most essencial cords to know to play most music. My goal is to play in church to back up the hymns, chior and praise teams. Standard black gospel music. Thanks

all chords are essential, it depends on the vocal range of the choir. C major is the standard sorprano key especially for hymes from what I have seen of church music. Bb is known as concert pitch so it really depends on vocal ability.
